The award is from the American Academy of Environmental Engineers for the Mountain Water & Sanitation District Wastewater Treatment Improvement Project. The project was awarded this prize based on the complexity of the project, the project integration, quality, originality & innovation, and social & economic advancement.

Glacier Volunteers Crews to Complete The Harp Project River Walk in Pueblo

December 18, 2012
Glacier crews volunteered to help The Harp Project in Pueblo, Colorado to remove and replace the old river walk deck with a new 60' x 40' trek deck. They worked weekends and their extra time to complete this project and keep the river walk safe and looking great.

Glacier Helps with Installation of the Shade Structures for the City of Pueblo

On Friday, May 25th the City of Pueblo, Colorado held a ribbon cutting ceremony for the new Shade Structures at The Rides at City Park. Glacier was happy to donate manpower and materials to make this project a success. Glacier would like to thank Black & Veatch Corporation, Pearson Drilling Services, and 2M Company who partnered with us to complete this project.



Glacier Helps the Rangeview Metropolitan District with an Emergency Project

May 21, 2012
Last week the Rangeview Metropolitan District had an emergency due to a tear in the lining of an aeration basin, and therefore the contents were seeping into the ground. Glacier and Harold's Excavation worked immediately with the District to install an earth berm at the location of the tear to provide a barrier to repair the damaged liner. Glacier also extended existing influent lines for the District to make room for the 10' wide berm.

Glacier's "Pooper Heroes" Win First Place in Costume Contest at the 2012 Strikes and Spares for Science Fairs.

At this year's RMWEA Strikes and Spares for Science Fairs event, Glacier's team, "Pooper Heroes", took home first prize in the costume contest for the third year running. The profits from this event will help bring the RMWEA science fair winners to Alaska to compete at the national level. This is a great event every year that Glacier is happy to be a part of.

Glacier Holds Second Annual Health and Safety Fair

Glacier held its second annual health and safety fair last week. All employees attended this event where they were offered various safety training classes, biometric screenings, back and spine screenings, and an exercise boot camp.

Glacier Provides Site Level Training for Employees

Recently Glacier Employees at the Pueblo jobsite were able to teach and participate in a sight level training class. After the training session they were able to work off an official BM, do a level loop, and close out using five different points. Glacier would like to thank Levi Espinoza for putting on this training session and looks forward to continuing training and education for all employees.

Glacier Proud to Support Renovation of CSU-Pueblo Southeast Asia Vietnam Memorial

Glacier Construction is proud to be a donor for the renovation of the Southeast Asia Vietnam Memorial on the CSU-Pueblo campus. Originally dedicated in 1969, it was the first memorial of its kind in the Nation. With this renovation, the memorial will include the name of every military person from the State of Colorado that was lost in this conflict. The memorial is located on the northeast corner of the campus library.

Glacier Helps Clean Up Colorado

Certified Safety Professionals specialize in protecting workers, the public, property, and the environment by identifying, evaluating, and controlling hazzards. Black Squirrel WWTF Dedication

On October 5, 2010 Cherokee Metropolitan District held a dedication ceremony for the recently completed Black Squirrel Wastewater Treatment Plant. Vice President Steve Stephenson was in attendance, along with the Project Manager, Brian Kerschen, and the Superintendent, Ray Smith. This was a great project, and Glacier looks forward to working with the Cherokee Metropolitan District on future projects.

Glacier gets healthy! 

August 2, 2010
Glacier has started a new health program for all employees. To kick off this program Glacier hosted a company wide health fair. This fair included various vendors from insurance companies to chiropractic clinic and fitness centers. The health fair also included a chance for employees to have a biometrics screening done to help them improve their overall health. Glacier was also featured in an article for The Colorado Health Foundation. The article featured an interview with Glacier's Controller, Amy Buechel. Read the entire article here.

Glacier is awarded a new major project in Pueblo, Colorado

July 14, 2010
The Pueblo City Council voted unanimously to award the James R DiIorio WRF Sections 2/3/5, Ammonia and Nutrient Removal Project to Glacier Construction. Work on this project will include constructing and placing into operation new UV Disinfection, new biological wastewater treatment basins, new additional aeration basins, replacing the existing aeration blowers, centrate equalization basin, replacing the dissolved air flotation system pumps, yard piping and site work, HVAC work associated with the Blower Building expansion, I&C, and electrical work. Glacier looks forward to working with the City of Pueblo and Black & Veatch on this project.

Glacier Wins Award for Work on Broomfield Project

Glacier Construction was honored by the selection of the Carbon Road Pump Station Project for the American Public Works Association's Water Treatment and Distribution Award for 2009. We would like to thank the City and County of Broomfield for submitting the award, and to Tetra Tech, Inc. for being an excellent partner during the completion of the challenging project. The project finished on time and under budget, and the facility will serve the community for decades to come.

Glacier Breaks Ground on Farmers Korner North Plant

June 15, 2009
Glacier Construction Co., Inc. along with the Upper Blue Sanitation District and Carollo Engineers broke ground this week on the Farmers Korner North Plant project. This $27M project includes two new facilities that will expand the existing plant from 2 MGD to 5MGD.
